Have a Go at Lawn Bowls
2009 was the first National Have a Go at Lawn Bowls Day. This saw over 89 clubs register for the promotion, with the majority able to coordinate with the National Day. We’re seeking your involvement in this years’ National Have A Go Day on SUNDAY OCTOBER 10. It is encouraged that Clubs coordinate within their Centre for maximum effect.
We would like to provide your club with marketing and promotional support. There is no charge to your club. The only criteria is you use the logo(s). The aim is to get more people playing bowls and raise our sports’ profile. If your club is interested in participating, please fill in the form on the other side of this page and send it back to Bowls NZ by no later than 10 September 2010. If we can get this going on a national basis across the country we have the opportunity to raise the profile of bowls with maximum impact. We look forward to working with you!

Purpose of Have A Go :
Time is precious and for that reason we can’t expect a quantum leap from a person trialing bowls to becoming a member!
Key Aim of the Day:
Give them a great time, get their contact details and invite them back to your club to play in MIB or book a Christmas Party or to invest in a membership or . . . . . what does your club offer, what options do you have for people to play bowls at your club and to generate extra cash flow? To start off we will provide your club the following:
- One 1200 x 800 Sign
- A promotional email template
- An A5 flyer template
- A logo (which can be downloaded below)
- Handy Hints & Tips for A Successful Day
