The Trans Tasman is an annual contest between two of the world’s top bowling nations – New Zealand and Australia. Like any sporting contest between these two nations the competition is always intense, with both sides putting all their strength and skills into the competition to gain bragging rights for the next year.

The event is to be held at Waihopai Bowling Club in Invercargill, from the 2nd to the 4th of March.

New Zealand will be looking to avenge their 2010 loss to Australia, especially in the women’s competition where the team narrowly lost on a count back. The competition will be as fierce as any other meeting between these two nations, with both sides coming out all guns blazing in a bid to gain the supreme prize.
