Kittyhawks National U20 Singles

This event is a continuation of the pathways to New Zealand selection that begins with the National Secondary Schools event tournament.

The Kittyhawk National Under 20 Singles is played in sets format, the same as the Commonwealth Games format, to enable potential New Zealand Representatives the opportunity to experience the playing format for the Commonwealth Games.

This is the only event that we are involved in that where there is an automatic qualifying clause; with the 8 quarter-finalists (men) and 4 semi-finalists (women) from the previous season being accorded automatic entry if they are still eligible age-wise.

There is a travel grant in place which helps the players to get to the event and Auckland Bowls attend to the funding applications for the tournament. Entry Fee at Centre level etc is discretionary.

Kittyhawks National U20 Singles will be held Friday April 6th - Monday April 9th 2012.
