Kilbirnie held a fundraising event on March 2nd, continuing their Mates in Bowls season for an extra week to raise funds. A number of their members joined the Mates in Bowls players for a great night of bowling, bbq, and raffles.

Club Executive Judy Howat comments "Many of us dressed in  red and black and one of our ladies had made up a banner in the same colours, just to represent Canterbury of course. Through peoples generosity we cleared a total sum of $910.00 which is going to go the Christchurch Earthquake fund, targeting the Women’s Refuge homes which have been destroyed."
